Report: OPEC+ committee invites UAE, Kazakhstan, Malaysia to meet

MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- An expert technical committee to monitor implementation of an oil production cut deal between OPEC and non-OPEC states has invited Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan and Malaysia to attend its next meeting on August 21, Bloomberg analytical agency said citing two sources with knowledge of the matter on Wednesday.

A source said that some of the invited parties have expressed their interest in the event that will take place in Vienna.

OPEC states agreed to reduce their oil production by 1.2 million barrels daily to 32.5 million barrels in November 2016. Russia joined the agreement in December with a promise to cut output by 300,000 barrels daily compared with the level of October 2016. The agreement was concluded for January–June and was prolonged for nine more months in May.
